Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Administrative Law Judge Rotation
Every two years, the Administrative Law Judges of the Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Commission rotate territories. Effective January 1, 2022, the Administrative Law Judges have transferred claims and been assigned to their new territories.
The current territory assignments as of January 1, 2022 are shown on the map below.
Be aware that the Central Mississippi claims do not transfer between the Administrative Law Judges. All new claims in a designated territory will be assigned to one (1) of the two (2) new ALJs in that area. The old (pre-2022) litigated claims in each territory will also be transferred to a new ALJ in that area, as noted on the graphic above. However, an ALJ may use his or her discretion to keep a claim instead of transferring.
The next ALJ rotation will take place in 2024.
