Michael was born and raised in Pascagoula, Mississippi.  He subsequently earned undergraduate degrees from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and Mississippi College, before earning his juris doctor degree from Mississippi College in 1997.

Michael began and continues his legal career with Markow Walker, with over twenty (20) years of experience, with the majority of his practice being dedicated to defending employers, carriers, self-insureds and third party administrators in workers’ compensation matters in Mississippi.  He has also been bestowed a Preeminent AV rating through Martindale-Hubbell, as determined by his professional peers.  Michael is active in the professional community and is a member of Madison County Bar Association, Mississippi Association of Self Insurers, Home Builders Association of Mississippi, and National Association of Home Builders.

Michael has been married to his wife, Ann, for more than twenty (20) years, and they have two (2) children, Peyton and Brayden.  Michael and his family spend a lot of time at sporting events for the children and church activities at Broadmoor Baptist Church.  He also enjoys yard work, hunting, fishing, golf, and almost any activity outside.
