John is a native of Sardis, Mississippi. While growing up, John lived in both Tupelo and Batesville, Mississippi. Before attending law school, he spent four years as an undergraduate at the University of Mississippi, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. While attending undergraduate school, John worked in Washington, D.C., for two members of the United States House of Representatives, representing West Tennessee and Upstate New York.

After graduating from the University of Mississippi, John attended Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, Mississippi, where he made the Dean’s List and received an Am Jur in Admiralty Law. While attending law school, John worked for the University of Mississippi Medical Center Office of General Counsel and the Supreme Court of Mississippi.

John’s current practice is in the civil litigation unit and is primarily focused on insurance defense, general liability, premises liability, and personal injury. He is a member of the Mississippi Bar and is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in Mississippi.

John resides in Jackson, Mississippi. He attends St. Luke United Methodist Church in Jackson, Mississippi. When he is not in the office, he enjoys attending Ole Miss games with friends and family, duck hunting, offshore fishing, and making hot tamales.
