After obtaining his undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi, Phillip went on to attend the University of Mississippi School of Law.  Phillip began his legal career when he joined Markow Walker, P.A., in 2001.  He primarily devotes his practice to workers’ compensation defense.  He is rated AV preeminent for the Highest Level of Professional Excellence by Martindale-Hubbell and was recognized by Best Lawyers for 2018 and 2019.

Phillip and his wife, Margaret Blake, reside in Oxford, Mississippi, and have three children, Caldwell, Tom, and Charles. Phillip and his family are members of First Presbyterian Church in Oxford. Away from work, he enjoys spending time with his children and listening to Van Morrison. Phillip and Tom love cheering on the Ole Miss Rebels and Kansas City Chiefs.
