After obtaining his undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi, John attended the University of Mississippi School of Law, where he graduated in 2001. While in law school, he was a member of the Moot Court Board and the Mississippi Law Journal.
John has been with Markow Walker, P.A., for over 18 years, and he is a shareholder in the firm’s Oxford office. His practice focuses primarily in the areas of civil litigation and workers’ compensation defense. He has worked extensively in matters involving medical malpractice, appellate work, mass tort, workers’ compensation, and various aspects of insurance defense in tort-related matters. He has lectured on specific topics involving subrogation and defense of employers and carriers in workers’ compensation. John is licensed to practice law in both Mississippi and Tennessee.
John is a devoted fan of the Ole Miss Rebels, and he has served as the Vice President of the Ole Miss Quarterback Club. John and his wife, Kimberly, reside in Oxford and enjoy attending Ole Miss sporting events and are members of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
