Courtney is a native Mississippian, born and raised in Clarksdale. She attended the University of Mississippi and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2007. During her undergraduate career, she was inducted into multiple academic societies, including Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi. She was also awarded a Taylor Medal, the highest undergraduate academic award at the University.
Courtney went on to attend the University of Mississippi School of Law. In 2010, she graduated cum laude. Courtney became licensed to practice law in the states of Mississippi and Tennessee later that same year.
Courtney accepted a position in the Oxford office of Markow Walker, P.A., in April 2011. Courtney’s practice is dedicated to workers’ compensation defense, where she now has over 8 years of experience. Outside of work, Courtney enjoys instructing spin classes, traveling, and spending time with her family and husband, Kevin.
